What a Nice Catch!

An immature Bald Eagle making its getaway after a really nice catch . . . that’s a beauty! Now make your way before one of the adults comes along and tries to steal it away.

Feather Pattern Clue

When identifying young bald eagles, the feather patterning in juveniles (½ to 2½ years old) is uneven, with a mix of white and brown that gives them a somewhat speckled appearance. As they mature (around 2½ years to adulthood), they transition toward darker plumage with white markings or predominantly white with brown flecking. (Source: Bird Helpful)

Many of these moments eventually find their way into the Fine Art Print Store, where a curated selection of wildlife and nature prints is available.
