Float Like a Swallow
A tree swallow captured in flight just before landing on a fiercely contested birdhouse during the spring nesting season.
From the Field
Tree Swallows are most often seen in open, treeless areas and get their name from their habit of nesting in tree cavities, though they readily adapt to nest boxes when available. This flexibility has helped them thrive near wetlands, lakes, and open fields where insects are abundant. (Source: All About Birds)
