Just in case you didn’t know, it’s called catch and carry — and yes, that’s exactly what it sounds like. When Bald Eagles catch smaller fish, they’ll often keep flying and eat on the wing, minimizing the chance that another eagle spots the meal and attempts to steal it midair.
