Bluebells and Bumblebees

Spring was a late arrival this year, and so were the bluebells — along with the patient bumblebees wondering where all of the flowers had gone. Better late than never…

Fun Fact

Not all bluebells are blue — and none of them start that way. Bluebell blooms often begin as pink or purplish-pink before shifting to the blue shade they’re so well known for, then returning to softer pink tones after pollination. Not all bluebells turn blue, however. Some bluebell plants actually produce pink or even white flowers. (Source: ReconnectWithNature.org)

Many of these moments eventually find their way into the Fine Art Print Store, where a curated selection is available.
