Pelican in Flight

American White Pelicans may look a little wonky, may not be the most beautiful bird, but they are one of the most graceful fliers in the sky. When they pass through this area during their migration in April, we always try to find the lakes they stop in for a short while and catch them as they fish and fly around. This particular pelican was making a beeline right towards me until it and its compadres veered off to the north, graceful as always.
