Print Finish Options
Glossy Finish: This finish provides the highest sheen available and allows a print to really pop, but do keep in mind it is very reflective and may not be suitable for rooms with a lot of window light.
Satin Finish: Also known as a semi-gloss finish, this option allows for accurate color and resolution while reducing glare and reflectivity. It falls right between a glossy and a matte finish.
Matte Finish: A matte finish virtually eliminates all glare while still providing beautiful color reproduction and resolution. This is the finish we use on most of our prints we print for our personal use.

ChromaLuxe Defined. One-of-a-kind images deserve the finest presentation. Our fine art prints are created using dye-sublimation technology on fade and scratch-resistant recycled aluminum, delivering gallery-quality, high-definition artwork that exudes luxury.
Research and Decision. With numerous options available for fine art photographic prints, we embarked on months of rigorous research and testing various high-end mediums, including acrylic, giclée, and archival paper. For our fine art prints, we ultimately chose dye-infused ChromaLuxe technology on recycled metal. It consistently delivered the highest quality viewing experience, combined with unparalleled durability and superior archival properties.
Unique Luminosity. Like Rembrandt’s masterful layering of translucent inks, which gave his paintings their unique luminosity, the same captivating multi-dimensional effect is found in a ChromaLuxe print. Special dyes are infused into a robust, translucent polymer coating. The image is not merely printed onto the surface; rather, it possesses a depth that appears to glow, often leading viewers to believe the print is backlit.
How is a photo printed on a metal plate? Images are not directly printed onto the metal. Instead, special dyes are first printed onto a transfer paper, then permanently infused into the metal’s polymer coating using intense heat and pressure. Our printing partner is a leading innovator in this unique process, even manufacturing the equipment used to create metal prints. This state-of-the-art technology allows our images to come alive with a remarkable combination of vibrancy, clarity, exceptional durability, and long-lasting impact.

Unrivaled Vibrancy & Luminous Depth. The colors of our ChromaLuxe prints are extraordinarily vibrant, and the unique depth of the coating gives photos a luminous quality simply unachievable with paper prints. Because the image is infused into rather than onto the special coating, these prints offer exceptional archival value and durability without the need for protective glass. They are not only highly scratch-resistant but also completely waterproof, making them ideal for display even in bathrooms, kitchens, or other higher humidity areas where traditional paper prints would be susceptible to damage.
Superior Display & Versatility. Displaying your artwork without glass offers several distinct advantages: images are more intimately viewed, the risk of breakage during shipment or display is eliminated, and distracting glare is significantly reduced. Furthermore, the inherent rigidity of the metal plates enables contemporary hanging methods not possible with paper prints, providing an ultra-modern aesthetic.
Archival Excellence for Generations. Our prints are designed to last for generations when displayed indoors and out of direct sunlight, thanks to the inherent properties of ChromaLuxe metal and the use of the longest-lasting sublimation inks. Like any fine art print, direct sun exposure should be avoided. However, unlike traditional prints, our metal prints can be confidently displayed outdoors as long as they are kept out of direct sunlight.
Scientifically Proven Durability. ChromaLuxe metal prints boast an archival value that surpasses even the best giclée and photographic papers. Accelerated aging tests conducted by the Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT) demonstrate an image stability of 2 to 4 times that of traditional silver-based photo papers. This superior archival characteristic has been further substantiated by Wilhelm Imaging Research, another highly respected testing facility. When considering a print’s resistance to UV light, ozone exposure, moisture, and surface damage, ChromaLuxe metal prints are, without a doubt, the premier choice for preserving your image for lasting impact.

Cornell Lab of Ornithology
The Cornell Lab of Ornithology brings together the agility and impact of an on-the-ground nonprofit organization with world-class science and teaching as part of Cornell University’s College of Agriculture and Life Sciences. Our work spans disciplines from science to art, engineering to education. Our global community includes supporters, participants, and partners from all walks of life, united by a love of birds and nature and a commitment to help protect our planet. These are the folks behind the free Merlin Bird ID app and a site we frequent often: All About Birds.
The Nature Conservancy
The Nature Conservancy is a global environmental nonprofit working to create a world where people and nature can thrive.
Founded in the U.S. through grassroots action in 1951, The Nature Conservancy (TNC) has grown to become one of the most effective and wide-reaching environmental organizations in the world. Thanks to more than a million members and the dedicated efforts of our diverse staff and over 400 scientists, we impact conservation in 79 countries and territories: 37 by direct conservation impact and 42 through partners.
National Audubon Society
The National Audubon Society protects birds and the places they need, today and tomorrow, throughout the Americas using science, advocacy, education, and on-the-ground conservation. Consider joining your state and local Audubon chapters to help them with their mission.
Illinois Raptor Center
The purpose of the Illinois Raptor Center is to ensure the well-being of native animals through wildlife rehabilitation; to increase conservation awareness through educational outreach; to contribute expertise and support to conservation partners; and to improve our understanding of wildlife.
Raptor Resource Project
Founded in 1989 by the late Bob Anderson, the non-profit Raptor Resource Project works to ensure the health and vitality of bird of prey populations. We build and maintain nest sites, provide training in nest site creation and management, and develop innovations in nest site management and viewing that bring people closer to the natural world. We are dedicated to conserving birds of prey, educating people around the world about raptors and their habitats, and transforming knowledge and passion into action by:
- Asking questions
- Opening windows to the unseen, vivid life around us
- Uncovering the mysteries of raptor migration
- Building and connecting communities that value nature
We are a big fan of the Raptor Resource Project, and we usually have at least one of their cams streaming on our monitor during the day.
