Goldeneye’s gotta go… Deuces out!
Fast Flyers of Northern Waters
Goldeneyes are diving ducks that often forage in flocks and dive simultaneously. They typically feed in fairly shallow waters, up to about 20 feet deep, and are notably fast fliers. Their wings produce a distinctive whistling sound in flight, and males frequently perform striking courtship displays by stretching the head backward against their back before snapping it forward when females are nearby. Some of these moments eventually find their way into the Fine Art Print Store, where a curated selection of wildlife and nature prints is available.
