Our conductor for the day is Li’l Miss Ruby, and before she heads south for her winter residency in South America, she graciously leads a flower orchestra in graceful arrangements of color, motion, and light.

Hummingbirds are best known for their ability to hover in midair with rapid wingbeats, but they are also the only group of birds capable of sustained backward flight, a skill made possible by their unique wing structure and figure-eight motion. (Source: Farmers’ Almanac)
