Contemplating the Stairs

Brave First Steps

Sometimes puppies figure out stairs right away, and sometimes it takes a while to get their bearings. Puppy Daisy would sit at the top of the stairs and freeze — and that’s when we heard her bark for the first time, with that cute little puppy bark.

Eventually we coaxed her down by placing a biscuit on each step, and ever so slowly and cautiously, she made her way to the bottom. It wasn’t long before she was gliding down the stairs like a speed demon (they all eventually figure it out!).

ZuZu found her way up the stairs easily — but at the top she turned around and looked a bit lost, trying to decide what to do next. So here she is in deep contemplation, trying to figure out those darn stairs.
