Check Out My Beautiful Feathers

A Red-tailed Hawk shows off its striking feather patterns while staring down from above earlier this spring in McHenry County, Illinois—fully aware of the attention it commands.

From the field

Red-tailed Hawks are among the largest buteo hawks in North America, second only to the Ferruginous Hawk. Built for soaring, they have wingspans that average just over four feet. Females are typically much larger than males, a trait common among many raptor species. (Source: Audubon)

From moments in the field to finished work, select images eventually take shape in the Fine Art Print Store.
