Right Place, Right Sun

The window of afternoon light was brief, but this eagle crossed the frame at exactly the right moment—sliding into position just as the sun wrapped the bird in soft, directional light. That narrow opening made it possible to capture a clean, beautifully lit profile of our national symbol as it moved effortlessly across the winter sky.

Raptor Note

The amount of sleep bald eagles need varies by age and season. Younger birds and those in the breeding season tend to sleep less, while adults average only about four to five hours per day—often resting intermittently between flights and feeding sessions. (Source: World’s Rarest Birds)

Many moments like this one eventually make their way into the Fine Art Print Store, where a curated selection of wildlife and nature prints is available.
