The Yellowhead Birdsong

When the Yellowheads return in April, it’s much easier to find them among last year’s broken reeds. Another benefit is you get to see them more clearly perform their birdsong which has been described sounding like a heavy door swinging on a very rusty metal hinge (All About Birds). And by perform, I mean they really put on a show by tilting their head back, up and around while belting out their call.
